Professor Aladin Zayegh is a long-standing leader in Victoria’s Muslim community and a distinguished academic in electrical engineering. He has served as Vice President of the Islamic Council of Victoria, founded and chairs the Muslim Hospital Chaplaincy Service (2001–present), and is a board director of MCCA. With over 30 years of involvement in interfaith and multicultural dialogue, he brings deep community insight to his teaching. Academically, he holds a PhD in Electronics, is an Adjunct Professor at Victoria University, and has authored over 360 publications. At Melbourne Muslim Seminary, he teaches Islamic Spiritual Service, integrating spiritual care with institutional leadership.
