Almir Colan is the Director of the Australian Centre for Islamic Finance (AUSCIF) and the founder of Muslim Money Matters, a platform dedicated to promoting Islamic finance literacy. He serves as an advisor to various institutions offering Islamic financial services and is a member of a working group at the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), the global standard-setting body for Islamic finance.

Previously, Almir was a lecturer and board member for the Master of Islamic Banking and Finance program at La Trobe University.
